Evaluation of the project

The monitoring and evaluation of the IEOL partnership was implemented through various methods to ensure triangulation and thus the validity of evaluation.

Evaluation of meetings

Each transnational meeting was evaluated with a Google questionnaire, the results of which can be found in the links below:
Kick-off meeting (Finland)
Meeting 2 (Poland)
Meeting 3 (Portugal)
Meeting 4 (Italy)
Meeting 5 (Spain)

Interim and final evaluation of partnership

The success of the project was evaluated in conjuntion of the interim report with a open-ended questionnaire survey.

The results of these evaluations were used to adjust the workplan and communication plan. For example, there were comments about the infrequent and unbalanced use of the blog in the interim evaluation. This was taken into account and discussed at the following meeting, when a schedule for blog postings was devised.

After the third transnational meeting in October 2010, each partner was asked to reflect on the results of the meeting in the project blog. Among other things, these reflections produced an understanding of how to encourage learner involvement in the project.

At the end of the Partnership, an evaluation discussion concerning the success of the Partnership as a whole was held at the final meeting. Each partner recorded their responses to a few key questions in a Google document linked to the blog, and the responses were then taken into general discussion. These responses can be found at:
Finland
Italy
Spain
Portugal
Poland

The discussion based on these responses served the overall reflection concerning the success of the Partnership and its outcomes, and as such contributed to the sustainability of the Partnership beyond the project period.

Evaluation of courses

The courses offerered within the partnership were evaluated by each individual teacher at regular intervals. In addition, a joint interim course evaluation was carried out among course participants at each organization in January 2011. The results of the student evaluations can be found here:
Finland
Italy
Spain
Portugal
Poland

The results were discussed at the 4th project meeting in February 2011. Based on the evaluation and the following discussion and reflection, good practices as well as challenges were identified. These were recorded into the project wiki and they will serve to both further develop the existing courses and to give new course ideas for teachers in partner organisations.
