At the beginning of the partnership, the partners decided to limit the use of social media tools to blogs, Google documents and Picasa. The Moodle platform was also included on the list of tools to get a wider perspective to the possibilities of the tools. The number of tools was limited in order to ensure that neither inexperienced teachers nor students would get overwhelmed by the multitude of applications that are available. This proved to be a good decision. As the partnership progressed, each partner identified more tools that were useful for their particular courses and students.

The following links include descriptions of the various tools used as well as some notions linking the tools to learning theory.
